Architectural stone perfection

Our step-by-step stone fabrication and installation process

We utilize 3D digital laser scanners on your installed cabinetry to capture wall curves, out-of-square corners and sink cutouts to within 1/16th of an inch. You then select your full-size slab, and our software projects digital vein overlays so you can see exactly how the pattern will flow across seam lines and waterfall drops before cutting.

Slabs are sliced with high-pressure CNC waterjet cutters for smooth cutouts around under-mount sinks and cooktops, then hand-polished by master stonemasons. Our crew sets the slabs, levels them across cabinet runs, seals seams with colour-matched epoxy and mounts sinks for immediate plumbing connection.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

Is quartz or marble better for kitchen countertops in Charleston?

Quartz is an engineered non-porous surface that never requires sealing and is 100% stain-resistant to red wine, coffee and lemon juice — ideal for busy kitchens. Natural marble offers unmatched organic veining and timeless elegance, but requires periodic sealing.

How much do quartz or marble countertops cost per square foot in Charleston, SC?

Engineered quartz and natural marble installed costs in Charleston typically range from $65 to $145+ per square foot depending on slab rarity, thickness (2cm vs 3cm), edge profile complexity and sink cutouts.

Do quartz countertops require sealing or maintenance?

No. Engineered quartz is completely non-porous and never requires chemical sealing, polishing or wax. Daily cleaning requires only mild soap and warm water.

Can you fabricate mitered waterfall edges on kitchen islands?

Yes. We specialize in precision 45-degree mitered waterfall edges where the stone slab flows seamlessly from the horizontal countertop down the side of your island to the floor.

What is quartzite and how does it compare to quartz?

Quartzite is a 100% natural metamorphic rock with the exotic veining of marble and hardness superior to granite. Engineered quartz is a manufactured composite made of 93% crushed natural quartz crystal and 7% polymer resins.
